We’re planning to scatter our dog’s ashes tomorrow morning in the sea. We were wondering what the options were to do with his urn, as we don’t really want to keep it around and be reminded of his death; we’d rather have happy memories.
What are the things that we can do with it after the ashes have been scattered?
donate it to a charity for people who can’t aford urns (the SPCA)

Here is the atricle instead, the link didn’t work:
The drummer for the rock band My Chemical Romance is suing a dog trainer after the musician’s beloved German shepherd mix died in the trainer’s care and was returned in the form of cremated remains, according to court papers.
In a bizarre lawsuit filed in Burbank Superior Court, Bob Bryar alleges breach of contract, fraud, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress against Daniel Schaffer, described in the action as the self-proclaimed “dog trainer to the stars.”
“I don’t even know what happened to my best friend and miss her more than anything in the world,” Bryar tells PEOPLE. “The devastation I feel is beyond words.”
Acting on a referral, Bryar says he spent $7,500 in April to send his dog Dixie “the most important thing in his life,” according to the lawsuit to Schaffer’s kennel for intense training to help the emotionally fragile, formerly abused rescue dog adjust to a new dog in the household.
About a week later, after previously telling Bryar that the dog had been “having a blast and partying all day,” Schaffer reported that Dixie was killed when a drunk driver struck the vehicle in which Schaffer was carrying Dixie and other dogs, according to the lawsuit.
Later that evening, “Schaffer called (Bryar) again and informed him that he could not say goodbye to Dixie for she had been ‘cremated due to her condition,’” the lawsuit says. Two days later, the trainer “delivered an urn allegedly containing Dixie’s remains,” the suit says. After Schaffer failed to produce a police report documenting the crash, he changed his story and said Dixie died in her sleep, then changed that story to say she died under other circumstances, the suit says.
Schaffer didn’t return messages seeking comment. No response has yet been filed to Bryar’s lawsuit.

i have a level 8 mage in morrigan, level 8 human as my character and allister as a level 8 and my dog as a level 7. i can’t get past this part and i’ve been trying for a really long time, any help would be much appreciated.
Take out Morrigan first, mages are pesky and need to go down quickly. Then I usually let everyone fight themselves and use Morrigan as support casting various spells. If you are still having trouble, go to your game options and set it to easy. Then you can change it back once you win.

Ok.. well.. she’s not talking like she normally does. This is mostly barking. My wife is the one talking in the background.
For anyone who’s interested, at the time the video was shot, she was 13 years old. In May 2007, she turns 14. She’s a Doberman-Cocker Spaniel mix. I’ve had her since November 1993.
UPDATE: On 4/27/07, she had a stroke. She’s having problems walking (she loses her balance and falls over a lot) and her head tilts to the side. She’s taking medication and should be recovered in a month.
UPDATE 5/20/07: She’s doing much better. The tilt seems to be gone and her eyes aren’t “ticking” like they were. For the most part, the balance problem is gone, too. She still has minor balance issues. She has to sit down to scratch behind her ears and has to be careful going up the stairs on the front deck. Also, it’s a little tricky for her to jump up on my chair, but not nearly as bad as it was when it first happened.
UPDATE 6/18/07: She’s worse! I took her to the vet on Friday and got more medication. By Sunday, she was even worse. I took her to the emergency vet. I was told that the prognosis is poor to grave and that if Hillary’s quality of life does not improve, I should look at euthanasia.
I’m not ready to lose my best friend!
UPDATE 12/01/07: She’s been taking medication everyday and has been managing. She has a hard time going up and down the steps out front and can no longer jump up on the couch like she always did. Also, her medication makes her eat and drink A LOT more. Another side effect is excessive panting when she gets “excited” in any way. But, at least she’s still alive.
As for the fleas — I used Advantage on her and she doesn’t have that problem anymore.
UPDATE 9/23/08: Hillary has passed away at 15.5 years old. It appears as though stomach cancer took over. She was fine this morning, but within a couple of hours, she went downhill fast. By the time I rushed her to the vet, she was gone. I am having her cremated and will have a custom urn made. Thank you to everyone who left nice comments. The rest of you know where you can shove it. Get a soul already.

The dog I had growing up just passed away and I am currently looking for a nice urn for her. She was my beloved companion for 16 years and I want to honor her with more than just a pine box but it seems everywhere I have looked all sell pretty much the same thing. Any help will be much appreciated.
I *love* the ones at this site:
http://www.custompeturns.com/
They look more like sculptures and many have candles that you can light in honor and remembrance of your pet. I especially love the one under "Sculpture Urns" called "The Grace Urn", but they are all absolultely stunning and far more than just a wooden box.

A neighbor of mine ( very old lady ) had her dog pass away last month and that dog was the only thing she had, she loved her.
I have been looking around at urns an FINALLY found one I’m getting her ( she had the dog cremated and they just gave her a box )
Well this will be a cherry oak finished box with a velvet bag for the ashes. The outside is going to have a cross stitch of the dogs face ( I’ll bring the pic ) and then I want some touching words. But can’t think of any! Can you help?
I want more than just…beloved pet….her name was Sugar btw ( boston terrier )
Sugar
"Do not stand above my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep…"—from a poem I cannot remember the name of (sorry), but it was used at my Grandma’s funeral
OR
Sugar

www.peturns.com
there is also a procedure that can take some of your pets ashes and it compresses it into like a man made diamond type pendant. They are very pretty and very expensive. Good luck with your search.
